  • Local food for local people

Growing local food for local people is at the core of what we do.
Our focus is on growing heritage bred, organic vegetables that are fresh, affordable, seasonal, and spray free using no-dig permaculture principals.
We choose to grow open pollinated, heritage varieties so that we can collect our own seed, help to protect seed diversity and create healthy, strong plants suited to our climate.

  • Heritage Plants and varieties

Our passion is growing heritage plants, especially heirloom tomatoes, both seedlings for sale in early spring and fruit through summer and autumn.
Every year we choose a different selection of old or new favourites from our seed catalogue of over 200 varieties.

  • Grow your own food

We love to support people wanting to grow their own food! So to help, we grow and sell a wide range of vegetable seedlings, year round, that are appropriate for our southern climate.
All of our plants are grown organically and spray free.

    Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Sustainability and waste reduction is very important to us, we exclusively use recycled punnets and recycle our flower pots wherever possible.

We encourage our customers to return their pots, labels and any packaging so we can reuse them and keep them out of the landfill.

  • Diversity is the spice of life, literally.

As well as Veges and edible plants we also grow a diverse range of plants perfect for the food forest, orchard and permaculture garden. These are plants that provide benefits either to us, the environment or both. Useful plants include those that provide habitat or food for wildlife, herbs for medicine and home cures, plants that help create and improve soil, plants useful for fibre, dyeing and crafts.
